Lawton Campus
Platt College Lawton is located near the center of downtown Lawton. It sits on the corner of Ft. Sill Blvd/ 11th St. and B Avenue and covers half the block. The offices off of B Avenue are nestled in a cozy setting of trees and garden walks.
Driving directions to the school: From I-44 take the Gore Boulevard exit and turn (West). Follow Gore to Ft. Sill Boulevard/SW 11St. Turn (South) left on SW 11St. The school is exactly 1 block south of Gore on the corner of B Avenue and SW 11th St.
Parking locations: The campus offers 2 parking lots. One is directly off Ft. Sill Boulevard/ 11th St. next to Save-A-Lot and the other is at the corner of 10th St and B Ave. Either parking lot provides entry to the school but, the B Avenue entry houses the admissions and administrative offices.
Hours of operation: The offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
Class sizes: Classes are small, usually ranging from 15 to 25 students which provides excellent opportunity for individual instruction.
Special features: Among the special features at Platt College are its computer lab, an internet resource library, a dental lab and a wet-dry nursing lab. There is also a simulated pharmacy on the campus grounds.
Nearby Convenient merchants, housing options, organizations, Local job market, where our graduates work etc: Platt College is 5 blocks north of the main shopping mall in downtown Lawton and other downtown merchants and only about 10 minutes away from Ft. Sill Army Post. The Lawton area provides lots of housing additions and many apartment complexes for residents. There is housing as well in the small communities surrounding Lawton, such as Cache and Elgin which are within reasonable driving distance if you prefer a small town environment.
Local job market, where our graduates are employed: The Lawton/Ft .Sill area has two hospitals and an army hospital facility along with many private doctor‚s offices and clinics. Comanche Memorial Hospital, Southwestern Medical Center, and Reynolds Army Hospital employ many of our nursing graduates as do many independent doctors.
There are also several nursing homes and a Veterans Center which hire Practical Nurses and Medical Assistant graduates. Lawton has many pharmacies including Ft. Sill Army Hospital Pharmacy, Goodyear Pharmacy, 2 Walgreen Pharmacies and 2 Walmart Pharmacies just to mention a few.
