Respiratory Care

You can become a Respiratory Therapist

As a Respiratory Care student at Platt College, you can gain the skills you need to become an important member of a healthcare team. Our Respiratory Care programs combine in-class course work with clinical rotations at area hospitals to prepare you for a career as a respiratory therapist. This hands-on respiratory therapy training allows students to work in the physician’s role and to see what it’s like to deliver patient care firsthand.
Upon successful completion of our respiratory therapy programs, you will earn your Associate of Science degree. Respiratory Care program graduates will be eligible to take the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) entry-level Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) exam and more advanced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) exam.

This Associate of Science in Respiratory Care program consists of 1625 clock hours, 94.5 quarter credit hours, and can be completed in as little as 11 1/2 months. Platt College’s dedicated admissions staff and passionate professors can help you reach your potential and help you get your career started off right.
