Financial Services

During the admission process, students seeking financial assistance will be required to meet with a financial services officer. Students who are enrolled at least halftime, show financial need, and continue to make satisfactory progress may be eligible for assistance. Platt College offers:

Direct and FFEL Stafford Loans: Direct Stafford Loans are available through the William D. Ford Direct Loan Program and FFEL Stafford Loans are available through the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program. These programs offer subsidized, unsubsidized, and PLUS (for parents of dependent students) loans. For further information on these programs, contact the financial services office for recent publications from the Department of Education.

Federal Pell Grants: A Federal Pell Grant is an award to help undergraduate students pay for their education after high school. Eligible students may be awarded up to the maximum amount established by Congress per award year.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG): A Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant is an award to help undergraduate students pay for their education. Based on need and availability of funds, students may be awarded this grant.
